About The Band

Stone Cold is a five member band hailing from Montrose, Michigan. Started in 1996 by frontman Paul Wixson, Stone Cold is a band that focuses on driving new country with an acknowledgement of classic country and rock that can be heard in their music.

Opening for such acts as Travis Tritt, Jamey Johnson, and Joe Nichols while playing for 90,000 people at WKCQ’s Country Music Fest, Stone Cold knows how to entertain. Their music is always received with much enthusiasm at these concerts. Sue White from the Saginaw News writes in June 2010, “in a day of great music and great musicians, they sounded, well, great!”

Stone Cold is at work playing various clubs around Michigan most every weekend. Their priority on entertainment first, has kept people dancing, and has been their mainstay that has kept them working.

Stone Cold has also opened for top recording artists .38 Special, Emerson Drive, Eric Church, Richie McDonald, Aaron Tippin, and Jimmy Wayne...to name a few.

Their debut album Pride is a collection of songs written by members of the band with obvious song writing talents and vocal/musician skills as well. Every song tells an interesting story with exceptional vocals and radio friendly arrangements.
